What We Treat

Dr. Giebler believes vertebrae that are misaligned, medically referred to as subluxation, can interfere with normal body functions. If left untreated, this misalignment can result in muscle and/or organ dysfunction, and other imbalances. Treatments at our office are designed to help restore your misaligned vertebrae back to a normal position, allowing your body to heal itself naturally.

Baby receiving chiropractic adjustment.Children:

Many spinal problems in adults begin in childhood. The birth process may be one of the most traumatic events of our lives. The resulting irritation to the nervous system can be the cause of many newborn health complaints. Colic, unexplained crying, difficulty breastfeeding, ear infections and allergic reactions can often be traced to nervous system dysfunction caused by spinal irritations.

As a child grows, it is important to have spinal check-ups to detect small problems that may result from minor falls, poor posture, hours of playing video games or sports like gymnastics, soccer and football. If left undetected, these misalignments may result in spinal problems as adults.

Is Chiropractic Safe for my Child?

Of all forms of healthcare, chiropractic is one of the safest. Dr. Nic uses a gentle combination of techniques on children including Logan Basic, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release and adjustments using a light touch. Many parents bringing their newborns in and are amazed at how much their infant enjoys their first adjustment.

Chiropractic Treatment for Pregnant WomenPregnancy:

This period of rapid development, hormonal changes, the laxity of connective ligaments, and the shifting of weight bearing structures may cause many pregnant women to experience back or sciatic nerve pain. Chiropractic care can relieve the discomfort many expectant mothers experience. It is safe to receive chiropractic adjustments through the entire pregnancy, and many women report quicker and easier deliveries when receiving regular chiropractic care.

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic adjustment for pregnant mothers. This technique corrects pelvic ligaments and muscles, allowing the baby to get into the best position for birth. It has a high rate of success for allowing breech babies to go into a normal head down position. This technique is safe and gentle and facilitates easier, safer deliveries for both the mother and baby.

Adjustments in the postpartum period quicken recovery time and assist the body in normalizing pelvic biomechanics. It is also helpful to reduce the postural strains of nursing and caring for the newborn.

Sports Injuries:

See our Active Release Technique (ART) page for details regarding how ART can treat your sports injuries.
